WHO IS ELVIRA?
Overcoming the Struggle
Elvira was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma and spent her childhood in Kansas City, KS. After her parents divorced, her and her mom moved to Oklahoma to be close to family. Learning to adjust to a new school, a different culture and starting middle school was not easy, she struggled to fit in with her peers.
A Purposeful Life
Currently, Elvira works for a major bank with experience in Risk, Compliance, and Project Management Oversight. She volunteers with different organizations, enjoys spending time with her kids and mentors young professionals. She has committed her life to helping those that feel or have been told they too have ruined their life. She has worked with drop outs, teen parents (boys and girls), young adults who are dealing with anxiety and depression.
Elvira had the honor of being in the documentary, I Am Alive Through Christ, a story by Shanandolan Ward, produced by Charles W. Bush. This is her story of how she attempted to end her life, BUT GOD! Watch and listen, can you relate, can you see those God moments in your life? She had a purpose and so do you!
